  • Anatomy and physiology of the pelvic floor
  • Written assessment
  • Physical assessment
  • Dietary modification
  • Medication e.g. antidiarhhoeals
  • Continence product advice
  • Psychological support

Clinical cases can be brought for discussion.

Learning Objectives:

This study day is for continence advisors to gain knowledge and confidence in managing faecal incontinence conservatively as set out at level 1 in the Royal College of Surgeons guidance for faecal incontinence.
