In 2018-19 he completed an Endoscopy Fellowship at St Mark’s Hospital. He has since continued as an Endoscopy Research Fellow undertaking a range of projects relating to Efficiency in Colonoscopy.
Ahmir Ahmad completed his undergraduate training with distinction at University College London in 2010 and started specialist training in the Gastroenterology in the North Central and North East London training region in 2014. He completed the Specialty Certificate in Gastroenterology in 2016.
In 2018-19 he completed an Endoscopy Fellowship at St Mark’s Hospital. He has since continued as an Endoscopy Research Fellow undertaking a PhD exploring “Efficiency in Colonoscopy” under primary supervision of Professor Brian Saunders with Dr Ana Wilson and Dr Siwan Thomas-Gibson.
Ahmir is interested in the challenges facing healthcare in the 21st century with the emergence of new technologies such as artificial intelligence. He has a strong research interest in endoscopy and is passionate about improving efficiency in colonoscopy.
