Manmeet is a consultant Gastroenterologist at St Mark’s Hospital, London with a specialist interest in endoscopy, patient safety and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). She is Governance lead and Endoscopy training lead at St Mark’s.
She was awarded a PhD from Imperial College entitled ‘Improving Safety and Quality in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Patient Pathways’ for which she received the St Mark’s John Nicholls research prize. Manmeet is an Associate Editor for Frontline Gastroenterology and is well published in the field of endoscopy quality and safety.
Manmeet is the chairperson of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) Social media working group and is a member of the ESGE governing board.
Manmeet was previously the chairperson of the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) ‘Supporting Women in Gastroenterology’ (SWIG) sub-section and remains actively involved in the BSG Equality, Diversity and Inclusion working group. She is also the BSG representative for the Royal College of Physicians Patient Safety Committee.
