Dr Evgenia Mainta 

MD | Consultant Radiologist

Dr Mainta graduated from Medical School of Athens, Greece in 2003. She pursued her post-graduate training in Attiko University Hospital, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens leading to accreditation in Clinical Radiology in 2011.

During her training she undertook a period of research at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens as part of a Scholarship. She was awarded an MD with honors from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens for her dissertation on Liver Imaging in 2007.

Evgenia subsequently subspecialised further in Gastrointestinal imaging in the UK in Barts Health NHS Trust, Guy’s and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust and St Mark’s Hospital, London North West Healthcare NHS Trust between 2012-2014.

She became a Consultant in Radiology in London North West Healthcare NHS Trust in January 2014.

Evgenia’s clinical work involves most aspects of Gastrointestinal Radiology, including Gastrointestinal-Abdominal Cancer, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Pelvic Floor disorders. The rest of her time is being spent teaching, training and undertaking research. Her current research is focused on Inflammatory Bowel disease.

She is a reviewer for international journals and has authored several peer-reviewed publications with yearly presence in International Conferences in Gastrointestinal Imaging.
