Dr Gideon Lipman is a luminal gastroenterologist with a specialist interest in the upper gastrointestinal tract.
He qualified from the Royal Free and University College Medical School in London in 2007. He undertook specialist training in North East and North Central London. He took time out of training for research and was awarded an MD (Res) from UCL. His research thesis was on the endoscopic assessment and treatment of Barrett’s Oesophagus. He has also been involved in research on the endoscopic management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. He has presented his research at national and international conferences and published in peer reviewed journals.
As a consultant, his clinical work involves all aspects of luminal gastroenterology with key interest areas in the upper GI tract including early oesophageal and gastric cancer, Barrett’s oesophagus and gastric intestinal metaplasia.
