Colorectal clinical nurse specialist and other clinicians involved in supporting this patient group.
Aim:
To offer clinicians knowledge to guide post-operative management of individuals following a pelvic exenteration.
By the end of the session, delegates will be able to:
- Understand what pelvic exenteration surgery entails and why it is undertaken.
- Identify what is normal after surgery as well as commonest complications.
- Recognise the importance of early interventions of any complications.
