Alison is a higher surgical trainee in the Oxford Deanery currently taking time out of training to undertake a PhD in complex rectal cancer. She has a particular interest in the characteristics of rectal cancer and factors influencing outcomes following pelvic exenteration surgery for both locally advanced and recurrent disease.
Alison’s work is supervised by Mr Ian Jenkins (Complex & Recurrent Cancer Lead, St. Mark’s Hospital), Professor Campbell Roxburgh and Mr Colin Steele (University of Glasgow School of Cancer Sciences).
